A quick walk through my garden

After a too short weekend and a too busy Monday, I couldn't wait to get out in my garden. I love this angel's trumpet tree, aren't those upside down blossoms just incredible? Yes!
And, check out this plant. Thomas' granny got it for me on her visit to our home last summer. These orange furry dots are only the start of a wild bloom. I can't wait to show it to you in a week or two.
I hope this little tour brightened up your Monday like it did mine.

Magnificent Magnolia

This beautiful tree is in my neighbor's yard and grows over the fence just outside my bedroom window. As I wake with bleary eyes I check to see if it's dark or light and these giant blossoms always make my tired eyes happy. The morning songbirds fly in and out between her leaves and no matter what the weather the magnolias brighten any gloomy morning.

Product Packaging: Yarn Label for Coffee Beenz

A few months ago I talked about my design process for a new yarn label design, and today I got samples! The yarn, Coffee Beenz by Plymouth Yarn Company has a rich color palette and soft hand. The label has warm tones that work well with each of the colors of the yarn. I'm excited to whip something up, maybe a latte?
A short trip for a big birthday

A few weeks ago I decided I would be the best daughter a good daughter and fly to Pennsylvania to spend time with my mom for her 70th birthday. Here's my mom and my dad, I think they're smiling extra big because their best daughter is I'm taking their photo. She doesn't look 70, does she? Happy Birthday again, Mom!
